However, both Hegseth and the current administration seem devoid of shame, introspection, and respect for the American people or accountability. Hegseth's decision to use a civilian app to disseminate sensitive information without verifying the participants in the chat is a staggering display of negligence. This reckless leak of classified war plans to a reporter is so egregious that it warrants an investigation, removal from his position, and potentially criminal charges. Hegseth should never have been confirmed for his role. His history is marred by allegations of drinking on the job, credible accusations of sexual assault, and the abuse of women.
