Currently Science Leader at the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation, Amanda has been instrumental in the history of ResBaz, and it's such a treat to have her come back to ResBaz to close the show! โฅ๏ธ

Natasha's presentation will look at the role of the supervisor and the student in the higher degree research journey, and how they may change over candidature. She will be joined by a panel of 6 students and supervisors to discuss topics like feedback, tough conversations, cultural considerations, AI and much more.

"Sovereignty as practice: Rethinking research from Indigenous standpoints"
Celise is a proud Wadjigan woman (Batjamalh language group), artist and researcher. Her practice brings together cultural heritage, archives and storytelling to trace connections between memory, materiality and Indigenous knowledge systems.
Her keynote address will explore Indigenous sovereignty as enacted through everyday research practice. Drawing on Indigenist principles, it considers how methods, citation and scholarly practice can either reproduce colonial frameworks or uphold Indigenous authority, relational accountability and knowledge integrity.
