After a year of turmoil, The Washington Post is taking note of its journalism again

So many headlines about The Washington Post over the past year had little to do with its journalism. There was a botched reorganization, layoffs due to a sea of red ink, a talent defection, subscribers angrily canceling because of changes to its opinion section ordered by owner Jeff Bezos. Without much fanfare, though, its reporters have been aggressively covering the new Trump administration and breaking news in what has always been the newspaper's wheelhouse — the federal workforce that dominates Washington and the surrounding area. Executive editor Matt Murray says staff members have been getting new opportunities, and running with them.

A quotation from Molly Ivins

That’s why it’s called Establishment journalism. You concentrate on the people at the top, the people with power; you watch, you study how they make their moves, you get fascinated by it, and pretty soon you can’t see anything else — just the top, just the power. And the others, the people, the readers, matter so little that you don’t even bother to let them know what’s going on. You start to think like the people you cover. It can happen on any beat — business, police, politics, education. The stuff you want is from the top — you want to quote the chief, the superintendent, the chairman of the board. There are no reliable sources who earn less than $10,000 a year.

Dear video game reporters, the opposite of "to delay" is "to anticipate". The game release got "anticipated" not "reverse-delayed", not "anti-delayed" or any other newspeak non-sense.

(not naming the game because the game doesn't matter)
