Love my Fairphone, simply because I can repair it so easily.

I thinking I was having a USB-C port problem for charging since I couldn't get a good connection with my cable. I had a hard time looking into the port to see if there was some blockage, so I ended up ordering a new USB-C port. Swapped the original out with the replacement part in about 20 minutes (mostly because I was being very careful) and boom. It worked!

I'm very happy that Bosh actually agreed to send me a replacement mixer attachment (for free no less) instead of forcing me to return/throw the whole kitchen machine out. And then I realised the bar is in fucking hell for that to not be obvious. Still, props to Bosh for doing the thing 👏

Now, I don’t need a new #laptop any time soon, but when I do I will definitely consider these.
Finally a company who designs their devices for #repairability and #upgradablity. I am so tired of the tendency of especially Apple of gluing devices together and whatnot which makes it very difficult to repair or upgrade anything.
Framework goes against the race to obsolescence and their designs are open source.

All in all, this sounds like a great deal: reduced carbon footprint, repairable, de-googled. I'd like to say this is the future of telephony, and don't get me wrong, I'm not endorsing a company, I would gladly buy a similar solution from any company whatsoever
