My mother bought a bag many years ago, and it was the one she used the most. Over time, it got torn and worn out, and it was no longer usable. But the core material was still strong! So one day, I completely took the bag apart. I cut away all the torn pieces. Then, I covered the remaining material with new fabric on both sides so that the old material was completely hidden & covered, and stitched it back together.

Freu mich immer noch über meine erfolgreiche Reparatur von letzter Woche. Donnerstag Abend Spülmaschine zerlegt, weil Heizpumpe kalt blieb, Ersatzteil bestellt, Samstag Abend gebrauchtes Ersatzteil eingebaut. Statt ~150 € für ein neues Teil, nur ~ 30 € ausgegeben. Den Zufallstreffer "Ersatzteil-Löwe" kann ich also grad wirklich empfehlen.
Mal schaun, wie lange das hält. Die Spülmaschine ist 14 Jahre alt, bei uns seit 9 Jahren.

The control board in our 20-year old oven died, and, of course, it’s no longer available. I found UpFix.com, and decided to give them a try. They repair boards of all kinds in appliances, autos, exercise equipment, and others. It was a seamless experience the whole way through. I popped it back into the oven today, and .. it works!!

Heute bin ich endlich Mal dazu gekommen in der @welcomewerkstatt an meinem Projekt Messer-Reperatur zu arbeiten.
Nach ein paar Jahren sind die Gummigriffe der Messer klebrig gewesen. Da die Messer von einem großen Möbelhaus quasi standardisiert sind kann der Griff einfach durch einen Neuen ausgetauscht und das Messer noch viele Jahre benutzt werden.
