Solar update:
The sun kindly came out at 12:30 today so I got 5.129kW generation by 3pm the sun has moved onto the SW side of the house, so I was down to 1.502kW (29.3% of the peak). On the plus side, that meant the sun had moved round to the back garden, so my socks could dry 🧦🌞
The morning was cloudy, so I don't have a full sunny day charge curve yet (I'm only on day 2)
Today was my very first day of generating solar power at home
I was very excited to wake up to winter sunshine but it didn't last and it was mostly a typical grey February day. The sun did peek out at lunchtime and I briefly saw over 5kW 😀
Anyway, 8kWh is a start 👍
I can’t afford an #ElectricCar. I don’t want an electric car. President #biden can keep his charging stations and/or stick ‘em. #publictransit
We don’t need oil and gas for another decade. We can’t keep burning oil and gas for another decade. We could put up #renewablesenergy all over the country, tomorrow.
Public ownership of the power grid!
Renewable Energy Will Surpass Coal as a Source of Electricity by 2025
https://mymodernmet.com/renewable-energy-surpass-coal-by-2025/
The global energy crisis has triggered unprecedented momentum behind renewables, with the world set to add as much renewable power in the next 5 years as it did in the past 20.
The report sees emerging signs of diversification in global PV supply chains. While China remains the dominant player, its share in global manufacturing capacity could decrease from 90% today to 75% by 2027. #iae #climatechange #renewablesenergy
