AGI - It was identified by the media as Jonathan Ross, an agent of the Ice – the Federal Immigration Control Police – who killed 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good with a handgun during a traffic stop in Minneapolis on January 7th.
Ross, 43 years old, was deployed to Iraq as a member of the Indiana National Guard from November 2004 to November 2005. That year, Ross became part of the Ice as an deportation agent with a base in Minnesota, whose task, as he testified recently in a case, was to identify and arrest “high-value targets.” Ross testified that he was also a member of the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, as well as a firearms instructor and field intelligence agent.
Last June, during an operation to arrest a Mexican immigrant, Ross had grabbed the window he had broken to open the door and was dragged one hundred meters along the sidewalk before being thrown onto the street. The agent sustained serious lacerations to both arms, which required a total of 33 stitches.
“That Ice agent risked his life, dragged by a car six months ago, with 33 stitches on his leg. So one could think that he is somewhat susceptible to someone hitting him with a car,” said U.S. Vice President, JD Vance, in his defense, on Thursday. However, the identity of Ross has not yet been officially confirmed by American authorities.
