In den Arkaden des Rila-Klosters erzählen die Fresken ganze Weltbilder aus Farbe und Bewegung. Szenen aus Himmel, Hölle und Alltag liegen dicht nebeneinander, gemalt mit unglaublicher Detailfreude. Die kräftigen Pigmente stammen aus dem 19. Jhd und leuchten trotz der Jahre überraschend frisch. Mein Blick schweift, bleibt hängen, versucht das Übermaß an Leben zu fassen.
