✈️ 🚂 🚗 Planes, Trains and Automobiles (and a cable car!) 🚡

Old cars taken for one last drive and dumped in forests. Cable cars left in silent stations. Soviet-era planes, once gate guardians to old air bases, now just an out-of-place curiosity. Huge rusting steam trains languishing in old collapsing depots.

Turns out, the first "relic" trading cards were #NASCAR sports cards, with bits of tire embedded, in the '90s. Then, everybody started selling collector cards with squares from Broadway costumes -- sorry, cosplay outfits -- sorry, "athletic uniforms and jerseys".
In later decades, paper relics emerged.

Never knew about these “Non Sports Trading Cards”. Some are spot on, according to the inter-webs, some are way off.
#Shakespeare for example was 15/1600s, but that relic is French from the 1700s. The #Mozart, #Chopin, I plan to frame, #write a #melody of theirs on the mat. Most of the others I will frame with U.S. #fractional #currency. The Andrew Johnson card (he took over after white supremacists assassinated #Lincoln) is worth $55, apparently (!)

🇭🇺✈️ A field full of old Cold War Soviet airplanes, left to languish in a farmer's field somewhere in Hungary

These are Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 (MF, bis, 21UM) and Sukhoi SU-22 (M and UM3), manufactured in the 1960s and 1970s.

After being delivered to this field around the 1990s, they stood in neat rows for decades. A few years ago, they were removed.
