Allen was traded to Houston from Atlanta in November after hitting .221 in 135 games for the Braves in 2025. The shortstop, known more for his glove than for his bat, is a career .213 hitter with nine home runs in 1,176 career plate appearances between the Athletics and Braves. With Jeremy Pena and Jose Altuve locked in at shortstop and second base, respectively, Allen will be a bench piece for the Astros in 2026.

Meyers, who will turn 30 in June, hit a career-best .292 in 381 plate appearances with the Astros last season. He hit only three home runs after hitting a career-high 13 in 2024, but he focused more on contact, cutting his strikeout rate to a career-best 17.6% last season. Bryan Abreu and Astros reach deal to avoid arbitration - Bryan Abreu News

Abreu, 28, has turned into one of the premier setup men in the game. He posted a 2.28 ERA in 71 games with Houston last season and registered his third straight 100-strikeout season out of the bullpen. His strikeout rate of 35.5% last season was the sixth-highest among all qualified relievers. Abreu will serve as the setup man to Josh Hader and will occasionally get a save opportunity after finishing with a career-best seven saves a season ago.

FantasyPros

The lefthander had a sensational season for the Astros in 2025, pitching to a 3.03 ERA with 84 strikeouts in 71.2 innings. The 27-year-old ace struck out 206 batters in 185.1 innings and limited opponents to a .201 batting average. Brown has improved his numbers every season since his first full year in the big leagues in 2023 and, if he continues on that trajectory, a Cy Young Award could be in his future. He'll serve as the ace for the Astros in 2026.
