This one is not to pretending to be an IPA at lower ABV. Instead, this is a pale ale with a very good tropical hop at its base.

Toppling Goliath "Necatron Dry Hop - Pseudo Sue" Pale Ale

This is our last beer in the pack, and I'm looking to end on a high note. The last one was pretty good, and I would definitely have it...

Streets of Fire 1984 is Walter Hill over-directing a bit

Some actors cannot produce emotion, which looks very bad. But a lot of bad actors over-act. Which is not good either. Today, watching the 1984 Walter Hill movie Streets of Fire, I think I finally saw an over-directed film. Is this a bad thing? No! The film is a blast. But it is not your typical movie. It is trying so hard that it crosses the line into avant-garde cinema, while remaining a dumb action film.

The Green Inferno 2013 is Eli Roth's version of Avatar

In James Cameron's Avatar humans are attacking the forests of Pandora, bulldozing and killing indigenous population of the planet, to get to the natural resources their tribes are sitting at. The military is literally playing a role of guards, for the bulldozers, because the indigenous have become sort of very upset with humans, that terrorize their land. This is sort the plot of Eli Roth's horror film The Green Inferno, just Roth makes it way way more viscerally.

Ann-Margaret is an all-time sultry beauty. 1964's Kitten with a Whip, while interesting but ultimately frustrating, definitely shows exactly how dangerously alluring she was and how cruel that beauty could be.

Kitten with a Whip (1964)

Welcome a new B-Movie Enema review, my dear Enemaniacs! I’ve got something a little different than I usually do on this blog, but I would also say it touches upon a few things I’ve refe…

Deathlstaker is hot off the heels of Conan the Barbarian and The Sword and the Sorcerer. It's Roger Corman seeing what audiences wanted and made a hit featuring a barbarian. It's a fun movie with sequels that are kind of all over the place.

Deathstalker (1983)

Welcome to B-Movie Enema, my friends! This month, we’re kind of setting aside time to cover two things. The first will be sequels to other movies we’ve covered in the past. The second i…

1973's Beyond Atlantis by director Eddie Romero is technically a family film. No, for real, Patrick Wayne (John Wayne's son) insisted this film be a family film. It's one of the very few movies out of the Philippines in that era that was family-friendly - which is a direct quote from David DeCoteau, someone who knows both sleaze and family movies.

Beyond Atlantis (1973)

Welcome back to B-Movie Enema. How do you follow up a titty movie starring Daleks? No, not the Cinema Snob. I already did that last month. No, you do a family movie. Because of course that’s …

Obviously influenced by The Shining, 1981's Ghostkeeper does have an interesting distinction of being one of the few New Year's horror movies up to that point. It's not a bad little movie if not incredibly exciting.

Ghostkeeper (1981)

So we’ve come the end of 2021. Was it better? Did you have a good time in 2021? I mean, 2020 was pretty shit. 2021 started real rough. I think we corrected course just in time to get back in …

Ulli Lommel is an interesting director. He's probably best known for making The Boogeyman, but in 1983, he made a heck of a thriller called Olivia.

Olivia (1983)

Last week, we talked about an Italian actor-turned-director’s film, this week, we have a German actor who turned into a rather notable director. 1983’s Olivia comes to us from Ulli Lomm…
