In a week-plus I will have foot surgery that puts me on crutches: no pressure on that foot for the two weeks it will be wrapped, sponge baths. I wonder how to adjust to the limitation of my ability to exercise. Two weeks isn't going to make a worrying difference to my cardiovascular health or muscle mass. However, I also rely on exercise both for endorphins and to help my digestion.
What have others done in similar circumstances? I won't be eligible for PT till eight weeks after the surgery, when they unpin a toe, but I'm concerned abut the two weeks on crutches.
