I have had three things in my home that won the #RedDot award. What they have in common:
* They all would look brilliant in an Apple Store.
* They have the stupidest user experience known to man.
* They have some basic functional deficiencies that would easily be discovered by anyone who uses the device at least once.
When the judges say they award outstanding design, do they realise that function is at the center of it?
