Anyone that happens to have a #Recteq X-fire Pro pellet grill and has been disappointed with the relatively lackluster level of smoke flavor in smoke mode, I've discovered a simple fix. Toss a chunk of apple wood (or your wood of choice) right on top of the flame guard on the smoke side. No need to soak or pre-light or anything. It will smolder during each smoke, lasting a long time while adding a lot of smoke flavor.

I smoked some chicken wings today on my #Recteq. We have dry rubbed with a homemade #BBQ mix my 8 yo made for Father's Day. We have some traditional #Buffalo and then a few with a jalapeño apple BBQ sauce. And then lastly, a few plain ones for my youngest.

Add on a side of grilled corn and #CrackerBarrel style cooked carrots and we are eating good for lunch today!

Took charge and made my own #FathersDay dinner. My youngest didn't enjoy it, but I did!

The steak was a Tri-Tip that I reverse seared on the #Recteq. I dry rubbed it with a mix of salt, pepper, garlic powder and #Starbucks ground medium roast coffee. The baby potatoes were air fried with olive oil and garlic and then topped with Italian blend cheese. I also served pan roasted green beans. It was all pretty tasty!
