#Democrats long ago abandoned even the pretense of solidarity with leftists, going all the way back to the 1980s, when they adopted #ReaganThatcherism and #neoliberalism, which has been the dominant ideology of the party ever since.

The Clintons, Gore, Kerry, Obama, and Biden, every Democratic nominee for President since 1992 has been indistinguishable from pre-1994 "moderate" Republicans.

The only reason contrast even exists is because the Republicans embraced #fascism.

The original proponents of #neoliberalism in the 1970s and 1980s described their ideology as a “#ThirdWay”, a compromise or fusion of sorts of the prevailing platforms of the strains of social liberalism and market conservativism that held sway in the 1970s. These ideas were exemplified by #ReaganThatcherism and #Clintonism during the 1980s and 1990s, and since that time have remained the dominant ideologies shaping human civilization in the West.
