The new version of wallabagger is out (v1.20.0). New users will have an easier login workflow. There is a lot of changes under the hood, and the next version should please the Firefox for Android users.
- Addon for Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/wallabagger/
- Extension for Chrome-like browser: validation in progress

Download Wallabagger for Firefox. This wallabag v2 extension has the ability to edit title and tags and set starred, archived, or delete states. You can add a page from the icon or through the right click menu on a link or on a blank page spot.
5 years ago, I wrote about rolling my own read-it-later solution.

There's a less hacky/much better solution now.

It's self-hostable, AGPLv3 licensed and hosted on Codeberg.
Found it featured on Codeberg blog. https://blog.codeberg.org/letter-from-codeberg-onwards-and-upwards.html
With that said: It is Friday, and post-dinner, so off to @readeck!
I found an offline first #readitlater app to replace #pocket and #wallabag. I tried to give @wallabag a go, but I ran into a sync issue with their mobile client and the wallabag.it customer service email ghosted me after several attempts, even though I was a paying customer.
This app works fully offline, syncs to a generic cloud backend, and looks pretty slick. It doesn't have many downloads, which is surprising given it's level of polish and features. Highly recommended!
@flyleafapp by @maxmelzer is the read-it-later app that gives you a truly unique reading experience: flip through your articles like you would read a book.

@wallabag released Version 2.6.14
wallabag is a web application allowing you to save web pages for later reading. Click, save and read it when you want. It extracts content so that you won't be distracted by pop-ups and cie.
You can install it on your own server, or you can create an account on wallabag.it.
Sometimes self-hosting programs don't work the way they need to.
Right now I'm trying to get my WallaBag install to be the RIL tool for my ReadKit app on iOS.
So luck so far.
Anyone have experience with this?
Walla is running on a VPS with Yunohost.
ยซ Then, I found a self-hosted tool, wallabag, that changed everything. ยป
