Not clear even after a web search which variant/s are associated with #RazorBladeThroat.

My suspicion is XDV.* based descendants, of which I think NB.1.8.1 is currently more common.

Google results are poor and I'm not confident in the webpage that claims the XDV based variants are the culprit.

Somewhat concerned that this commonly reported symptom appears a. more intensely painful, b. may be resulting from more severe lessions, & c. is located nearish to lungs.
