I made a video of me explaining the problems I have with the brand new #AbxyluteS9 telescopic controller at the request of their customer service department.
Turns out #Persona4DancingAllNight is a great game to bring input problems to light, as I continued playing it with my aging #RazerKishi V1 and realized that it also has d-pad (and face button) issues. I hadn’t noticed it before but now it’s very obvious. The Kishi isn’t as bad as the S9 with #RoadRash3, though.

I’m going to send back the #AbxyluteS9. Overall it’s a really nice controller but I want to convert my Galaxy S10 5G into a dedicated gaming device and having to constantly replug the controller isn’t going to work for that use-case. And the d-pad really bothers me.

That’s 3 telescopic controllers I’ve tried in the last year and decided to return. Instead of looking for another one, I found some grips on Etsy for the #RazerKishi V1 that I’ve had for years. This just might be good enough for me!

I cancelled my #RazerEdge order...

I decided I'd rather have a #RetroidPocketMini.
However, I'm currently too impatient to wait weeks for it to arrive (same goes for the #AbxyluteS9), so I bought a #RazerKishiUltra from Amazon with same-day shipping.

It's crazy expensive, and I wish the buttons weren't so clicky, but my OG #RazerKishi keeps losing connection with my phone, and unlike the Ultra, it's not compatible with my #iPadMini6, which I love playing #RetroGames on. Just wish it was OLED.

After playing with it some more, I decided to return the #GameSir G8 Galileo. It has so many great features but I just find it uncomfortable to hold. It seems to be an uncommon opinion but I don't like the shape of the grips and find their curvature to be too sharp.
The RIG Nacon MG-X Pro looks very ergonomic but it's probably inferior to the G8 in every other aspect, so I think I'll just stick with my first gen #RazerKishi until I find a dedicated gaming handheld that checks my boxes. @schlep

Just occurred to me that if #iPhone15Pro is able to run #DeathStranding, #AssassinsCreedMirage, etc, it might give the #SteamDeck a run for its money (when you add a #BackboneOne or #RazerKishi). Depends on the games. I'm praying for #Sekiro. 🙏
