@amadeus @keithduthie What I always missed in helvum and qpwgraph is #RaySession's abilty to (un)plug connections without letting go the virtual cable (by using the right mouse button) This simple feature saves so much clickwork.
Plus, you can connect two channels (stereo) in one go.

@nielso Ok, I found an old #RaySession but I'm still not sure what exactly I did and if it worked. IIRC I used the x42 jack_midi_clock to generate a Midi clock from Jack Transport and maybe the ancient Mididings was involved somehow. Sorry that I can't be more precise but I haven't used it for a long time.

One of the cool things about linux is, that even though one tool alone is incapable, there is always a way to connect things together in intended or unintended ways. Reniose has no proper vst3 sidechain routing? What do I care, I got Ray Session, pipewire and Carla to the rescue :P

@aliteral I use Ray Session with pipewire. If I understand it correctly, it just replaces jack in my case.
One annoyance with ardour vs raysession: If you save a project from the ardour session and want to continue managed by ray session seems to be impossible. Still have to wrap my head arround that. You can manage connections to and from ardour, if it was started outside raysession, but the state will be saved in the ardour session. Did I miss something?
