They are ✨gorgeous✨ they look like little badgers, with dark patches and white blazes on their faces.
Daniel JohnsonTomorrow I will have the sad duty of constructing a euthanasia chamber for a pet rat. Poor Jenelle has a huge tumor and can barely drag herself to the water bottle. The euthanasia gold standard for small mammals is CO₂ — they quickly go unconscious and painlessly pass away. I will be filling a small aquarium with CO₂ produced by good old fashioned baking soda and vinegar.
Rats are particularly susceptible to tumors, particularly mammary tumors.
