"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is a song by American singer-songwriter #BobDylan, written for #theSoundtrack of the 1973 film #PatGarrettAndBillyTheKid. Released as a single two months after the film's premiere, it became a worldwide hit, reaching the Top 10 in several countries. I don't recall the music being this rubbish in 1997? Only decent track so far is a cover version of #RandyCrawford

Who was that tall bloke next to Janice, snapping to attention?

Randy Crawford - "Almaz".

Very much at the Radio 2 - Richard "Dogsby" Park end of the audience, a mature and sophisticated sound. Radio 1 still catered for the 30something audience, and Steve Wright fell over himself for this track.

It's a fabulous song, performed beautifully.

Roxy Music sing about "Angel eyes". On video, which helps us to see this isn't the same song ABBA had a hit with, nor the Wet Wet Wet tune.

The Crusaders have "Street life". Wait, wasn't that a Roxy Music song? Has there been some *production* on this week's #TOTP?!

Anyway, a fine performance. Randy Crawford's greatest vocal?
