Normally, when I try Final Fantasy Randomizer's tavern recruitment option, I limit it with only being able to fill a NONE. It turns out if you don't do that, and you've got a blessing which adds gold pieces, you also get it for recruitment, giving you an option for infinite gold.
Why didn't anyone tell me Varia Randomizer for Super Metroid lets you replace Samus with Brad Fang?

I'm trying out Z1M1, a combination randomizer for The Legend of Zelda and Metroid. I feel that this is a bit of an uneven combination. Metroid has 37 upgrade locations by my count, but LoZ has 64. LoZ's lead grows so much larger, though, because there are also the dungeon room rewards. The only things from Metroid brought over to even these out are energy units and missiles. You will spend far more time in LoZ than Metroid from what I see.
I used a pre-generated world map and this is the worst bridge I've seen, yet.
One thing I dislike about applying randomizers is that there are usually flaws in the feedback while you're generating the ROM file. Harmony of Dissonance or Mystic Quest are so simple they take no time to complete, but if the service was stuck I'd never know it. Final Fantasy Randomizer is probably the best of the complex ones by attempting to put numerical representation on progress, but the denominators can also increase and numerators can grow beyond them.

The old website Chapel of Resonance had a complete list of the spell fusions, with MP costs, screenshots, and whether you can influence direction or otherwise change the attack with your inputs. One thing not mentioned for the Gradius options is that it is possible to keep one circling around Juste for a bit by moving away before it attaches.
I'm trying the Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance randomizer again and my current game gave me bolt book + holy book super early. I've spent most of the game charging at things, other than when I made those Gradius options go behind Juste so the mirror skeletons could run into them. Pretty fun way to play the game, honestly.
I tried out the Castlevania II: Simon's Quest randomizer, mostly keeping to the casual setting, but I changed to a greyscale color palette, "Game Boy B/W." I don't recommend that. Your health bar and the hearts are often too dark to see and I never saw the bats until they had already hit me.
I keep having problems with certain options in Final Fantasy Randomizer, and in the process of troubleshooting them, I generated a ROM without remembering to turn on things I wanted. I was going to try Deep Dungeon, but that didn't work at all, so I settled for a pregenerated random map and forgot to turn on the free canoe. I can get off the 1st continent if I get the Marsh Cave chest, which is guarded by SLIMEs, but I only have 2 party members.
