The location of the green iguanas in the trees in which they live is not accidental, but depends on the place of place of the individual in the hierarchy.

At the top is the alpha male. He almost always sits very high – here he has a good view of his territory and harem of females. Young animals, located at the bottom of the ladder, on the other hand, establish themselves on lower-sitting branches.

Naked Mole rat.
Just below the surface of the East African savannah is a reality so different that it almost surpasses the imagination.

As the name suggests, the naked mole rat is largely hairless with the exception of some very sensitive "whiskers" distributed all over the body. The concentration of these is greatest on the head and tail, and there is a very special reason for that. The naked mole rat has very poor eyesight and instead uses the whiskers to orient themselves in the dark. Green iguana.
Iguanas stay, the majority of the time, up in the trees. When they're not searching for food, they often lie and sunbathe at the top of a tree. They are ectotherm (cold-blooded) and therefore regulate their body temperature by moving between sun and shade.
