I just realized the Canes changed their hashtag to #SoundTheSiren for the playoffs. I don’t think an NHL team has changed its hashtag as many times as Carolina has. How could we forget:

On this day in 2019, the @Canes forced Game 7 against the defending Cup champions. @JustinWilliams scored the insurance goal with eight minutes remaining to put the game out of reach for the Capitals #Hockey365 #RaiseUp

Editorial note: I will not be using the Hurricanes' hashtag in Xs tonight. #Canes was fine. #Hurricanes, sure. #RaiseUp was meh. CarolinaCulture is a bridge (and several letters) too far.

#CBJ and #Canes, getting underway on ESPN+ in about 15 minutes. No FanDuelSports tonight.

#CBJ starters: Voronkov - Fantilli - Marchenko; Werenski - Provorov; Greaves.

CAR @ NYR 7Pm Eastern

The Hurricanes are still missing many of their core defensive players. Miller travelled to New York and practiced in a contact jersey, but will not be part of the alignment. Carrier and Robinson are still out on the forwards side. Carolina should win this based on numbers, but then again, they should have won against Boston...

Canes Call-Up: Domenick Fensore

**Domenick Fensore** was invited to the Hurricanes training camp and was part of the prospect showcase. He impressed , but in the end there were no open spots on the roster so all those prospects went back to Chicago, or in certain cases to Greensboro. In the case of Domenick though, after a very good beginning of the season (3 goals, 4 assists for 7 points in 4 games) with the Chicago Wolves, and after the Hurricanes called up Charles Alexie Legault, they also wanted to see how Fensore would be able to play at the NHL level, given their situation with all those injuries.
