**Domenick Fensore** was invited to the Hurricanes training camp and was part of the prospect showcase. He impressed , but in the end there were no open spots on the roster so all those prospects went back to Chicago, or in certain cases to Greensboro. In the case of Domenick though, after a very good beginning of the season (3 goals, 4 assists for 7 points in 4 games) with the Chicago Wolves, and after the Hurricanes called up Charles Alexie Legault, they also wanted to see how Fensore would be able to play at the NHL level, given their situation with all those injuries.

This will be the Canes first away game. The makeup of the Canes will not be the usual, as Slavin is out. On the Sharks side, Michael Misa, the second overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, is set to make his NHL debut tonight. Legault was recalled from Chicago but will sit in the press box with Kotkaniemi.
