Took this photograph from a window on the train, which runs between the town and St Erth.
Operated by Great Western Railways, it was said to be a favorite of the former poet laurete Sir John Betjeman.
Despite its short distance, it is often cited as one of the best scenic railway journeys in the UK and that's all because of the views across the vast sweeping sandy beaches that stretch for three miles from St Ives to Godrevy.
