Non è chiaro se Israele aderisca alla proposta, né se Teheran sia disposta ad accettare il documento come base per i negoziati.
Funzionari pakistani hanno dichiarato che la proposta riguardava in linea generale l'allentamento delle sanzioni, una riduzione del programma nucleare iraniano, restrizioni al programma missilistico balistico e l'accesso per la navigazione attraverso lo Stretto di Hormuz. Separatamente, un funzionario egiziano coinvolto negli sforzi di mediazione tra Iran e Stati Uniti ha affermato che la proposta era un "accordo globale" per raggiungere una tregua, ma ha avvertito che viene "considerata" come una base per ulteriori negoziati. Ai colloqui la delegazione Usa potrebbe essere guidata dal vicepresidente JD Vance.
Donald Trump ha affermato che i negoziati per porre fine alla guerra con l'Iran sono in corso "proprio ora" e che l'Iran ha accettato di "non possedere mai" un'arma nucleare. Ieri il presidente americano aveva dichiarato di aver "vinto questa guerra". Sostenendo che Teheran gli aveva fatto un "regalo" "legato al petrolio e al gas" che riguardava lo Stretto di Hormuz, senza fornire ulteriori dettagli". La notinon è però confermata dal governo di Teheran, che questa mattina ha proseguito i bombardamenti contro obiettivi militari nei Paesi del Golfo Persico.

Donald Trump stated that negotiations to end the war with Iran are taking place “right now” and that Iran has agreed to “never possess” a nuclear weapon. Yesterday the American president had declared that he had “won this war.” Asserting that Tehran had given him a “gift” “related to oil and gas” concerning the Strait of Hormuz, without providing further details. However, this information is not confirmed by the government of Tehran, which this morning continued its bombing of military targets in the Persian Gulf countries.

Non ci sono prove di un programma iraniano finalizzato alla costruzione di armi nucleari. A dichiararlo è Rafael Grossi, il direttore generale della Agenzia internazionale per l’energia atomica (Aiea). Il vertice dell’organizzazione autonoma delle Nazioni Unite smentisce così le affermazioni di Israele e Stati Uniti che hanno giustificato l’attacco a Teheran rispolverando il rischio atomico.
Grossi ha spiegato a Nbc News che l’agenzia non ha identificato “elementi di un programma sistematico e strutturato per la produzione di armi nucleari” in Iran. Allo stesso tempo, però, ha confermato che Teheran ha arricchito l’uranio al 60% di purezza, un livello ben oltre il fabbisogno energetico civile. Un livello di arricchimento che “solo i Paesi dotati di armi nucleari hanno”, ha sottolineato.
Nonostante questo comunque gli ispettori non hanno potuto concludere che l’Iran ha intenzione di costruire una bomba, ma ha affermato che l’accumulo di scorte solleva seri interrogativi. Questo arricchimento, ha aggiunto, era “la fonte delle nostre preoccupazioni” e non c’era “nessun obiettivo chiaro” per accumulare materiale a quel livello. “Le centrifughe giravano costantemente e producevano sempre più materiale”, ha detto, aggiungendo che teoricamente questo sarebbe stato “sufficiente per produrre più di 10 testate nucleari. Ma le hanno? No”, ha specificato.
