Lesbian writer Radclyffe Hall and her dog, Tulip, UK?, ~1930
November 16, 1928 - An obscenity trial began for Radclyffe Hall's novel, "The Well of Loneliness." Great Britain banned it for its treatment of lesbianism, though it contained no explicit sexual references.
A U.S. court in 1929 ruled similarly, for its sympathetic portrait of homosexuality, and because it "pleads for tolerance on the part of society."

Megan is once again joined by Thomas from their other podcast about queer history, These Old Queers, to talk about #Leo lesbian literary pioneer, #paranormalinvestigator and (disappointingly) fascist sympathizer - #RadclyffeHall.

Now, I had an idea, and 3K later, this:

"Eight years after tearing her own heart out, Stephen meets Mary again.
Turns out, everything has not been lost after all."
AKA Mary suggests the most obvious solution and they lived happily ever after.
