In the midst of a global uprising against police brutality and systemic racism, No Visible Trauma examines a deeply troubled police department and reveals the devastating consequences of unchecked police brutality. Despite its relatively low crime rates, recent years have seen the Calgary Police Service shoot and kill more people than officers in any other Canadian city, and more than either the New York or Chicago police departments in 2018. Five years in the making, the film unravels the intertwined stories of three individuals who were the victims of extreme violence at the hands of police officers. From the kidnapping and beating of a young immigrant from Ghana, to the fatal shooting of an unarmed man during a “wellness check”, the film exposes a criminal justice system that fails to hold police officers accountable for their actions.

This doc focuses on CalgaryPD but the issues raised are happening across AB, in BC, Manitoba, Ontario & many more places across Canada. Canadian cops keep getting away with crimes & human rights abuses, daily, in Canada. Systemic racism is still a major problem across the country - no matter how much our governments try to whitewash their PR.

I'm going to do a full context video report tomorrow because it's important for other #Canadians to know how the #GovernmentOfCanada has tried to bully my Mom since even before #BCNDP #BCgovernment #FailuresToProtect citizens with #covid.

This is now the 3rd time that federal government has severely fucked up & demanded my Mom - who has been fucking retired early since Summer of 2020 - to pay them back funds she's eligible for. First time they fucked up was in 2022 & it took 9 months for feds to admit they fucked up & they had to send Mom retroactive payments while we were planning Dad's funeral. 2nd time they fucked up was 1 year after & they stopped her OAS payments & also threatened her with stopping all federal benefits that she earned from working her entire life after coming to Canada as a war refugee in November 1980.
It took over 11 months for feds to stop threatening my family for yet another one of their admin fuck ups. Their big fuck ups end up putting more traumas on our backs. Yes - we are fucking ANGRY.

I'm #AntiPolice #AntiColonialGovernment #AntiColonialism #AntiAbleist #AntiRacism & I don't negotiate on those stances. If you're ok, negotiating on above stated stances - I'd question your life experiences. I'd question your efforts, if any, towards #decolonization too. I seriously believe anyone who believes anything #BCGovernment says these days - y'all drugged or drunk or uncaring.

Some pretty gross comments coming from a worker at Walmart store 3124 regarding the first baby of the year born in Thunder Bay

I wouldn’t shop at that store while she’s employed there 🤢
