The CW’s pilot for a Batwoman series has cast its villain. Rachel Skarsten, who played Dinah Lance aka Black Canary on one of the very first DC universe TV shows ‘Birds of Prey’, will take on the mantle of Alice for the new series. Readers of the comic book universe will know that Alice is later revealed to be Beth Kane, the long thought dead twin sister to Kate Kane, aka Batwoman. The show hasn’t revealed if it will pay attention to that particular part of the canon just yet. Batwoman, played by Ruby Rose, made her debut in the DC Crossover event on the CW last year. No word on when ‘The Batwoman’ might air yet. (h/t Deadline)
