Il Tempo: Tajani vola in Cina per rilanciare il partenariato economico. Sul tavolo anche Iran e Kyev

Il ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani è arrivato oggi 16 aprile a Pechino per la prima tappa della sua missione in Cina, che proseguirà domani a Shanghai. Prima l'incontro con il ministro del Commercio Wang Wentao, per rafforzare il partenariato economico fra i due paes, e poi l'apertura congiunta della XVI Commissione economica mista che è il principale strumento di cooperazione economica nell'ambito del Partenariato strategico globale istituito tra i due Paesi nel 2004. Questa missione rappresenta il primo appuntamento di alto livello con la Cina nel 2026, dopo il XII Comitato governativo ospitato a Roma lo scorso ottobre.
A seguire anche il Forum imprenditoriale Italia-Cina, che coinvolge circa 50 qualificate imprese italiane e cinesi, e la firma del Piano d'azione Italia-Cina per l'e-commerce che prevede, fra l'altro, l'apertura di Padiglioni Italia e finestre di promozione del Made in Italy all'interno delle grandi piattaforme cinesi di commercio elettronico. Al riguardo si discuterà anche di come stimolare nuovi investimenti cinesi qualificati in Italia, dei controlli cinesi all'esportazione di terre rare e minerali critici e di come migliorare l'accesso al mercato cinese per le imprese italiane.
Focus anche sugli scenari internazionali. Dopo la visita del ministro degli Esteri russo Lavrov a Pechino, Tajani sottolineerà il ruolo che la Cina può svolgere nel sensibilizzare Mosca a promuovere negoziati credibili per la cessazione del conflitto in Ucraina. Sul fronte Medio Oriente, invece, la Farnesina ribadirà la preoccupazione lo scenario Iran sollecitando, però, Pechino a svolgere un ruolo tanto nelle mediazioni quanto sulla rotte economiche minacciate dal blocco di Hormuz.

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani arrived today, April 16th, in Beijing for the first leg of his mission in China, which will continue tomorrow in Shanghai. First, a meeting with Commerce Minister Wang Wentao to strengthen the economic partnership between the two countries, and then the joint opening of the XVI Mixed Economic Commission, the main tool for economic cooperation within the framework of the Global Strategic Partnership established between the two countries in 2004. This mission represents the first high-level meeting with China in 2026, following the XII Government Committee hosted in Rome last October.

Following this will be the Italy-China Business Forum, involving approximately 50 qualified Italian and Chinese companies, and the signing of the Italy-China Action Plan for E-commerce, which, among other things, provides for the opening of Italy Pavilions and promotion windows for Made in Italy within China’s major e-commerce platforms. The discussion will also cover how to stimulate new qualified Chinese investments in Italy, Chinese controls on the export of rare earths and critical minerals, and how to improve Italian companies’ access to the Chinese market.

There will also be a focus on international scenarios. Following the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov to Beijing, Tajani will emphasize the role that China can play in encouraging Moscow to promote credible negotiations for the cessation of the conflict in Ukraine. On the Middle East front, the Farnesina will reiterate its concern about the Iranian situation, urging Beijing to play a role not only in mediation but also in routes threatened by the Hormuz blockade.
