RSECon26 takes place the week of 7th September 2026 at the University of Sheffield and we're looking for Conference Committee members! The information you provide will be accessible to Society trustees and RSECon26 Steering Group members, and used to form the Conference Committee for RSECon26. The call closes on 10th of October, applicants will notified by 24th of October at the latest. Details about the RSECon2026 conference committee The conference committee will be made up of volunteers who give time and effort from October 2025 to September 2026. You don't have to be an RSE or in the UK to join. You don't need experience in organising a conference as guidance will be given at all stages. We’re looking for people who are willing to volunteer for the RSE community and be an active part of making RSECon26 the best RSECon yet! Details of the committee roles and the structure are given here: society-rse.org/rse-conference-committee-structure/ The conference is co-led by Logistics Chair (Michael Donnay) and Programme Chair (Romain Thomas) and are supported by Logistics co-chair (TBD) and Programme co-chair (Twin Karmakharm). The chairs work primarily delivering their respective area, and along with the Steering Group Chair (TBD), Fundraising Chair (TBD), Treasurer (TBD) and EDIA Chair (TBD) form a steering group for decision making. The Logistics team headed by the logistics chair and co-chair comprises of: Logistics Co-Chair Volunteer Chair Website Chair Publicity Chair Hybrid Chair Awards Chair Additional volunteers will be assigned to teams headed by these chairs The Programme team headed by the programme chair and co-chair comprises of: Workshop Chair Talks Chair RSE Worldwide Chair Poster Session Chair Additional volunteers will be assigned to teams headed by these chairs In addition there are the following roles that will reside in the steering group Steering Group Chair Equality Diversity, Inclusion and Accessibility Chair Treasurer(s) Fundraising Chair and Co-Chair In each of the programme and logistics teams additional volunteers will first be assigned as co-chairs to critical roles or team members to areas that require them.
