Given the number of people who have to vote before a strike can go ahead (a majority of at least 70% of the potential strikers? Does that ring a bell?) ...

... should a similar majority of the electorate not have to agree before OUR MONEY is used to try and break it? #RMTStrike

I support and value ALL of our striking workers. Put people over corporate, and government, greed. It doesn't have to be like this.

So the government scuppered a deal between the RMT and management by inserting ‘driver only trains’ condition for negotiations right at the last minute.

They don’t want the strikes resolved. They want the public inconvenienced for their own political ends.
