#RMSLusitania was torpedoed and sank off the coast of #Ireland on #ThisDayInHistory in 1915, taking almost 1200 souls with her. #Lusitania sank so fast most lifeboats didn't launch. The #Cunard #OceanLiner was illegally smuggling weapons along with her civilian passenger service.
