MR. MOM (1983) was added to Tubi today if you want to see Martin Mull give a master class on how to play a complete asshole.
Say hi to Fred Willard for us, Martin.
Martin was, for me, that one character actor on TV when you needed someone smarmy, but not completely unlikeable. Also his Colonel Mustard in "Clue" was spot-on. Then he was the Center Square on Hollywood Squares for a few years and was AWESOME at it. But what I remember him for was his appearance in "The Aristocrats" (the documentary about the joke, not the Disney animation). He told a joke that was not "The Aristocrats", but he told it in such a way that you were hanging on to every word he said, even though you knew exactly where the joke was going.
Thank you for the laughs, Martin.
CLUE (1985) is on Pluto TV and Peacock and I think Martin Mull is the best thing about it. And I'm not just saying that.
He's on the right wavelength throughout and gets laughs that a lesser comic actor would not have gotten.
