And this might sound weird, but I find the score of 90% to be too low for this one. 😅
This is one of the pinnacles of the genre, up there with Panzer Dragoon Zwei and Star Fox 1 and 64.
Honestly, if you've never played this one before a love rail shooters, it's worth picking up a Wii just for this game alone. It's that good.

2026 gaming backlog #7 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES)

Crikey but this was rough. There's an ambitious idea here with the overworld / sidescroller split, but it's unrelentingly hard and occasionally obtuse to the point of frustration. Would've been better as a Ninja Gaiden clone.
