@shlee @Jplonie Are you creating multiple Bridges for multiple interfaces on the #Mikrotik #RDS2216
One of the interesting thing that i can use with the Mikrotik #RDS2216 and its many U.2 7mm slots, is the older NVMe M.2 sticks lying around (having been replaced by faster and larger M.2 sticks). The cheap #StarTech M.2 to U.2 7mm adapter is perfect for this.
Old M.2 just have a very long life..
Just another preview of the @mikrotik #RDS2216 NVMe over TCP performance with a RAID10 of 4 Samsung PM9A3. The Linux VM maxed out the NIC when running the fio test for large files.
#HomeDC #homelab #NVMeOF
@erik @mikrotik As for the NVMe over TCP to the #vSphere host, i’m working on it, but needed 💤
#HomeDC #homelab #RDS2216 #NVMeOF
@erik first #NVMeOF testing between the @mikrotik #RDS2216 and a nested Linux VM on #vSphere.
I’m no #Mikrotik specialist and have not configured many devices wirh #RouterOS.
Calling a product ‘Enterprise’ when I need to reboot the #RDS2216 after installing a package (Containers). Does not seem ‘Enterprise’ level to me.
An install/start/restart/stop/uninstall cycle would.
#JustSaying
@mikrotik Its a good video about the #RDS2216.
@erik
4x Samsung PM9A3 and 4x Samsung 990Pro in M.2 to U.2 cradle (cradle needs to be mounted upside down for NVMe connector connection). #RDS2216 #NVMeOF
@mikrotik The #RDS2216 ROSE arrived.
Time to load the NVMe 2.5” 7mm drives and NVMe M.2 2280 drives in their sleds.
#HomeDC #homelab #NVMeOF
@djwfyi that is how i’m following my #RDS2216 transport, so i can also deploy a MinIO Single-Node Multi-Drive in the homelab.
