I never stopped using Laptop computers with DDR2 and DDR3 RAM. My "most modern" machine, the Inference-Franken-Rig, has 16 GiB of precious 5 years old DDR4 RAM, and 24 GiB of GDDR6.

It appears that the current RAM market turmoil makes other people come around to my point of view.
