It's been a fairly good Monday: work in the morning; went out for massaman curry for lunch; a little more work; then an hour of errands on the e-bike; then more work; then alto saxophone on the patio in the sun for awhile. Almost time to assemble dinner now.

In the kitchen as dinner cooks, my 12-year old son tries to share innumerable mind-numbing details related to Chernobyl with me and my partner. I sidle up to my partner, put my hand lightly on the back of her neck, and whisper to her "Let's just snog when he talks like this." I lean closer, but she giggles and spins away, saying "I live with crazy people."
