Continuing the gravel ride on the Mass Central Rail Trail near Rutland, along the section that parallels Route 68. Granite mile markers from the old railroad still line the path silent reminders of the line’s long reach across the state. The late-afternoon light caught them beautifully, connecting the modern trail to the railway that once ran here.
