Tonight starts my journey on Seroquel. I'm taking it at bedtime because I read that it can knock you out. Basically since the start of the summer I have been unmedicated for mental health, only taking some things for diabetes and UCTD. I have been in a very good manic state the entire time (completely positive experience) and even lost a lot of weight. I think finding Mastodon and writing a bunch has helped steer my mood in the right direction. I've never had a manic state last this long, especially with so few downsides.

The one thing I've been worried about, though, has been what happens if this mania turns negative or destructive. The only downside to my current state is I rarely sleep. Even though my body is super fatigued from the autoimmune disease, I'm wired wide awake all the time. I agreed yesterday it is probably best to go back on meds. I've been on most bipolar meds up to this point but never tried Seroquel because of the potential for weight gain. We will just have to see if my Mounjaro helps with that.

Does anyone else have experience with Quetiapine / Seroquel causing a massive increase in suicidal ideation?

Like I've been getting really bad, like praying for death and fantasizing about ending it all.

I've stopped taking it which means I only got about three hours of sleep last night since it was prescribed for insomnia. It was great for insomnia but the other part is untenable if related. I was also losing the ability to carry on a coherent conversation and was constantly on the verge of a crying fit.

I hope it's the meds.

A day without #venlafaxine or #quetiapine has been a day without being chemically coshed into a brain fog.

Having taken #modafinil has made my mind very different. Positively so.

Have to stop the psych meds. I wake clear headed, take the meds and for the next 12 hours I get chemically coshed. Mind is screwed, body says no.
I don’t care that in the long term it might be okay.
I’ve lost a week to nothing

So no #Quetiapine or #Venlafaxine tonight and from now.

Tomorrow will take some Limitless and get shit done.

Each morning I do the same Telegraph puzzles - Panagram, Pluswords, Mini / Quick / Cross Atlantic crosswords. My record is just over 20 minutes for all, but normally about 30.

Thanks to the #Venlafaxine and #Quetiapine - Day 5? - stultifying my mind so far it’s over an hour and I’ve yet to start the Quick. Everything brain related is so damn slow.

I weigh over 100000000mg yet a 25mg tablet zonks me. Given first pass through the liver and dilution through the body it’s less than that.

I remembered I had an Invizbox2 so that’s now set as a second network and VPN (good)
I found the power supply to my NAS so I can hook that up (good)
I found the little spinny blade thing for the blender (good)

I’m on day 2 of being back on the psych meds - #venlafaxine #quetiapine - so I feel woozy, somewhat ill and I just want to sleep. (not good)

Et bien ça y est, la dose qui m'était prescrite en 300 à libération prolongée (LP) le soir est passé à 600 LP.

Sauf que le traitement est depuis hier soir en rupture pour m'en délivrer. Cette rupture concerne le niveau national et ça n'est pas près de s'arranger avant la fin d'année.

Donc plutôt que de prendre 2 comprimés de 300 LP le soir, je viens de passer à 2x150 LI (libération immédiate) le matin et 2x150 LI le soir, fabriqué par le pharmacien partenaire de ma clinique.

Et je commence déjà à en ressentir les effets de somnolance.

J'ai mis 5 minutes à écrire ce toot.

Avis aux zinzins sous Quetiapine LP, si vous faites partie des gens qui ne peuvent pas prendre de traitement alternatif, sachez que depuis le 13 les pharmacies doivent vous filer une équivalence en LI préparée sur place.

Et c'est mieux si vous passez chez votre médecin habituel pour lui demander une nouvelle ordonnance pour une préparation magistrale.
