Today’s the summer solstice, and the start of Cancer season.
Every astrological sign is associated with one tarot card from the Major Arcana, and three tarot cards from the Minor Arcana.
The first third of Cancer is governed by the Two of Cups, a card of deep friendship and love. One of my favorite renditions is this one from Isabella Rotman’s This Might Hurt deck.
I’m starting to journal for reasons, and I want to integrate tarot so it becomes fun to maintain, even when I’m busy. I soft launched last week, but I’m officially beginning today.
This morning I pulled three cards: a lesson for me to learn about the year ahead (summer solstice to next summer solstice), a lesson for Cancer season, and a lesson for today.
The card in the “lesson for today” position was this Two of Cups.
I’m finding a lot of friendship and connection here, so I thought receiving the Two of Cups on this day seems right somehow.
