Safe to say, a girl experienced a lot of transphobia at the office. Like I once got a dress hearing for having slightly beat up (but cared for) vans...because skateboarding was my literal mode of transport.

A white coworker, had the exact same shoes...but barely skated in, and yet his shoes were "formal enough".

And don't get me started on my boss. This 40something year old white woman who was just beefing with me and only ever made remarks on the appearances of the ONLY 2 black women lecturers

Did I spend $200 NZD on a single pair of leggings? Yes, yes I did.
