We're just a little more than a month away from the release of @margaret 's next book and maybe like us, you've been waiting patiently for the last seven years to read this third title in the Danielle Cain series—or maybe you're a fan of Margaret's podcast but haven't yet gone in for the deep cuts. Either way, this book is for you! (We recommend going back to read the other two books in the series, but you can jump in anywhere.)

Trolls, lost comrades, murder faeries, small town punks, riot queers, and some fancy magic to boot, "The Immortal Choir" packs three intense short stories into a hundred pages. And in true Margaret Killjoy fashion, it blends dark fantasy, wry humor, and earnest reflections on friendship, self-discovery, and trying to change the world.

On Monday, April 22nd, we'll be hosting editor Zane McNeill with Tijah Bumgarner and Chet Pancake for a discussion centered on their contributions to "Deviant Hollers," a new collection that explores environmental destruction in Appalachia through a queer lens.

"Deviant Hollers: Queering Appalachian Ecologies for a Sustainable Future" presents a much-needed objection to the status quo of academic work, as well as American exceptionalism and white supremacy. By focusing on queer critiques and acknowledging the status of Appalachia as a settler colony, the book offers new possibilities for a reimagined way of life.

Register for this free event, and grab a copy of the book at https://firestorm.coop/events/3171-queering-appalachian-ecologies.html. Not sure if you can make the event? Sign up anyway and you'll receive a link to the recorded conversation when we post it!
