#kdrama #QueenSeonDuk from 2007 has been inspiring ever after watching it. ( 6 times by now, just 62 episodes). Many Questions like "how accurate is the drama ¨, trying to sort out things.On my former instance a native Korean explaining in detail about her life and meaning in history .Her reign shorter, but in the same Tang-period. Or, was it really Confucianism introduced around 10Th AC that set back female-position for centuries to come ?

Lady Mishil as portrayed in Queen Seon Duk was a tyrant .

Actress Ko Hyun-Jung who played her gave her a sort of Greatness.

Some tyrants will never be able to be portrayed like that.

Mixing up...
A lady at my weekly Monday-morning coffee is really getting into it with her daughter.
I gave her #QueenSeonDuk and #DongYi on USB a while ago.
Now talking about what they watched. ( Short chats, more people around who are not into it . Yet.)
That is very confusing, because my memory is not that good, they are long and there is so much happening in both.

@hanktank61 I really enjoyed both of these. Dont feel like #QueenSeonDuk gets near the appreciation and love it deserves. Glad to see someone talking it up. One other classic #kdrama that I found utterly fascinating was #JewelInThePalace (think it is also called something like The Great Jang Geum or Dae Jang Geum). She first worked in the palace kitchens then became the first female royal physician (to the king). I kept having to stop watching to look things up- like was this true historically?
