Changelog for QGIS 4.0 · QGIS Web Site

Locally updated Qt to 6.11.0-rc, so far first checks are good, only visual change atm is the increased fontsize like in NeoChat and Tokodon.

Marknote bugfix release 1.5.1 is out. While the Haiku user will still be one version 1.4.1, I keep up here with latest releases and nightly builds, making sure things are still OK when Qt > 6.8 will be available for Haiku.

Code-blocks are working fine and the markdown editor has been improved a lot, with quotes being fixed among other things being fixed.

Read all about it at:

I’m happy to introduce Boutronique! 🌊🎹

It is a simple, lightweight utility designed for musicians and audio makers to identify and extract perfect loops from audio files without the complexity of a full DAW.

Built with the KISS principle in mind, it’s all about speed and focus.

✨ Key Features:

* Precision waveform looping & instant preview.
* Automatic BPM detection & manual adjustment.
* Optimized for the Torso Electronics S-4 (48kHz/32-bit export + auto-BPM naming).
* Open Source (Qt6/C++).

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

PSA for #Qutebrowser users (#Qt6 #Webengine based): we need to use this option to enable #kerberos support in `~/.config/qutebrowser/autoconfig.yaml` (for example, if you're a @fedora package maintainer and don't want to have to keep re-logging into Fedora websites):

```
qt.args:
global:
- auth-server-allowlist=*<domain>
```

Used to be `auth-server-whitelist` but changed at some point.

Today I am upgrading my code from #qt5 to #qt6. So far it needed just few small edits, but the more effort will be needed to polish the UI to scale properly. It seems that the qt6 should handle arbitrary screen scaling better, I just have to learn the rules.

I was really impressed with #QT6 for my ui-comparison project. It looks modern, has a nice developer experience (From the very little I have seen) and the generated executable was only 110KiB and needs just 3.6MiB of RAM.

...until I realized it needs to ship with 36MiB of dependencies (After trimming out the unneeded ones)

Still not a deal breaker in many cases, but a lot less impressive.

Also, strangely, when I enter an emoji into the input, the RAM usage goes up to 22.1MiB.
