@Qldaah Someone care to let The Powers That Be in Queensland and their policing happy pals know how to crack down on crime?
Maybe more guns than people in certain electorates is not the solution…

Try to understand it: John Farnham’s ‘river to the sea’ and Queensland’s war on words

'The moment the state gets into the business of deciding which opinions are criminal, the key question shifts from “Is this hateful?” to “Who decides?” And the answer is always the same: politicians.'

Is ‘Welfare check’ just code for ‘Mental Illness cleansing’ in Australia or something?

Police say officers have shot a man at Arana Hills, north of Brisbane.

"From here to the Moreton Bay, e-bikes are here to stay!"

It was nice being around so many like-minded people at the protest against the new e-bike laws today. The new laws will prevent under-16s from operating even a pedal-assisted e-bike and cap e-bikes to 10km/h on shared paths and other paths that aren't exclusive to bicycles.

Crazy how the QLD regime wants to basically outlaw bikes and ban phrases that they don't like.

The main takeaway was that the laws are being reviewed by a committee which is taking submissions. If you ride an e-bike, or would ride one in the future, consider making a submission.

A peak body for primary school principals says it is worried abolishing public school fees will see more money flow to wealthier schools, but the SA education minister says all parents were "doing it tough" and federal funding would go to addressing inequality.
