Yesterday I went to Velofollies in #Kortrijk. As I had some time to kill before the train to arrive for te way back, I decided to visit the #begijnhof. Situated not far from the cities Grote Markt, it turned out to be an excellent decision as there wasn't too much people (as you will be able to tell from the pictures.)

It's recently been renovated and a #UNESCO #Heritage site. Really enjoyed it. The #Pentax #Q7 and 08 wide Zoom did too.

The #waterbus is a #shuttle running the river #scheldt from the village of Hemiksem all the way down into the #harbour of #Antwerp covering 8 stops in total. Introduced by Port of Antwerp (the port authority) as a commuting alternative (Antwerp is one of the most congested cities in Europe) it is very popular amongst commuters and tourists alike.

Recently the Flemish Community took charge of the exploitation and to celebrate, the bridge could be visited during #openbedrijvendag a yearly event in Flanders where companies give an insight behind the scenes.

The (dutch) captain was very friendly and spoke passionately about every aspect of the boat. Very interesting!

I really enjoyed the exposition 'expo-pauldelvaux' which focuses on the work of #delvaux. There is also work from contemporaries like #Warhol #Ensor #Permeke #Margrite and others. Also nice explanations of how a particular work came to be. Really nice curation and some excellent work from him.

If you are in the neighbourhood, this is a must see.
