Happy Pynchon in Public day celebrated annually on the birthday of Thomas Pynchon.
In my late teens my upstairs neighbor got evicted and all their crap put into my parking space. On the top of the pile sliding out was a slim paperback book w a psychedelic cover, The Crying of Lot 49. I took it and read it. That book changed my life.
Who knows we may need an alt to the USPS sooner than we think.
