Paroisse Notre-Dame des Blancs-Manteau

An 11th Century Parish in the heart of Paris (Le Marais), rebuilt 1685-1690.

Here is a 1749 wooden pulpit, with the carving on top of "St. Michael Overthrowing the Devil".

The stained glass here (20th century) depicts King Louis IX (Saint Louis) founding the monastery in 1685. The other interior image is in the Chapel of Notre-Dame des Victoires, with "Crowned Virgin and Child".

The #Trump admin has green-lit political endorsements from the #pulpit & encouraged #religion in the federal workplace. Trump has established faith-focused entities with numerous influential #Christian appointees. He’s energized supporters with assaults on #cultural & #academic targets long seen as *liberal bastions*. His admin & his #SCOTUS appointees have expanded areas for #religious exemptions & expression in the public square.
