The last 20 years have been a long slow decline of doing stuff, some from having kids, and some from a bit of everything, not enough to warrant being taken seriously, or nothing seems to be wrong, or gaslit (that was 2 ER visits regarding my gallbaldder), and perimenopause. Add Covid. Now add edema, pulmonary arterial hypertension. Why the fuck is women's health so complicated to figure out!? I'n not happy with the pulmonary hypertension, especially since I went last July to the ER for being short of breath, and was sent home for nothing wrong, but we all failed (ER, Myself, my PCP) to note the high lab results that were noted for heart failure. That should have been emphasized and followed up on. Arghhh!
I don't know if its covid related but I will say that after getting covid in early 2025, my stamina was impacted (noticeably), but not this bad.
Anyway, I am hopeful now that I know what's wrong. Recovering from this...event?... is lonely. I'm off work and have huge limitations with stamina and breathing. BP is going down, fluids coming out, I feel fine... if I dont do anything. True, today is a bit better than yesterday. This still sucks. My sympathies for all those out there who have been like this a lot longer (for whatever reason). Hugs and Hellos!

Thank you for letting me vent.

Please watch Sarah's story & other testimonies from #PHAUK on the journey to diagnosis of #PulmonaryHypertension

During 8 long years of #breathlessness, she faced disbelief from doctors who told her she was "unfit" & "anxious", then a diagnosis of chronic fatigue sd, before a correct PH #diagnosis.
